Supervised Individual Sessions – 1:1’s

Rehab Studio Programme Consultations are designed for individuals seeking personalised exercise programs. Led by our Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists, these sessions focus on developing a customised exercise plan based on your specific needs and goals. You’ll learn safe and effective exercise techniques with the goal of transitioning to our Supervised Small Groups when ready.

Supervised Small Group Sessions

Once you’ve completed your one on one programme development, our supervised Small Groups offer a supportive environment with a practitioner-to-participant ratio of 1:3. Here, you’ll exercise safely under supervision, receive technique adjustments as needed and progress your program to maximise your results efficiently.

GLA:D

Join our GLA:D (Good Life with Osteoarthritis: Denmark) program at BODYSYSTEM, designed for effective management of knee and hip osteoarthritis founded on evidence-based practices. This begins with an initial consultation and functional assessment, followed by two educational sessions covering osteoarthritis, its risk factors, treatment options and self-management strategies. Over six weeks, participate in group exercise sessions twice weekly to enhance joint control, confidence and strength. At 3 months, a review with your practitioner assesses progress and adjusts goals. Registration, along with follow-up questionnaires at 3 and 12 months, track changes in pain, function, quality of life and medication use. Our dedicated GLA:D Practitioners include Darren McNees, Taylor Wilczynski, Sebastian Macleod, Stan Drummen, Belinda Doerner, Andrew Willcox, Carmen Woodmansee and Nick Cannell. Clinical Pilates

Clinical pilates utilises specialised equipment to enhance overall control, strength and mobility. This exercise form improves dynamic stability of the spine, transferring functional strength to limbs and enhancing posture through a combination of strength and flexibility.

Balance Assessments

Balance assessments are conducted to assess falls risk which then enables the development of personalised strategies for maintaining and improving strength and balance as you age.

Stronger for Longer

Our Stronger for Longer classes at BODYSYSTEM enhance strength, balance and endurance, promoting easier movement in daily activities and overall well-being as you age. They are ideal for individuals with lower energy levels looking to start exercising, those with osteoporosis or low bone density seeking prevention or management and individuals at risk of falls due to poor balance. These classes also cater to those with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, providing specialised support and exercises.

Diabetes

Manage Type 2 Diabetes with support from our Exercise Physiologists at BODYSYSTEM under a Medicare referral from your GP. Begin with a comprehensive assessment covering healthy exercise habits and education, empowering you to self-manage your condition. Our program includes aerobic exercise and resistance training integrated into your weekly routine, supervised in a small group setting for safety and effectiveness. Medicare rebates partially cover the cost of Exercise Physiology consultations and up to 8 group exercise sessions annually. Consult your GP for a referral to get started.

Solo's

(View and download our August calendar)

Solo weekly passes at BODYSYSTEM’s Rehab Studio are designed for individuals confident in independently completing their prescribed exercise program without supervision. Start by consulting with one of our Practitioners to determine if Solo sessions are suitable for you. Your initial step involves a one on one consultation to refine your current program and ensure you can safely use the equipment. The cost of your first week pass is included in this consultation fee.

A Solo weekly pass costs the same as a single supervised Small Group session, allowing you flexibility to attend as often as you like within our operating hours from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. You can save with 6 or 12-week block purchases. Monthly calendars detailing block-out times are available in the Rehab Studio, on our website tab and social media platforms.

To maintain program effectiveness, a one on one review every 6 months is required. For form advice or program progressions, you can book a Small Group supervised session or a one on one session for a full program review. Please note, Solo sessions are not typically claimable through private health extras cover on the day, though some funds may offer rebates directly for Rehab gym costs.
